FAQ
about Banners!
Yes, animated banner ads
are allowed. Banner ads, including those that are animated,
must be 468 x 60, in JPG/GIF format, and less than 10K. (remember,
the smaller the ad, the faster it will display)
No need to worry! There are
many websites that create banners for people for FREE
or for a small fee. You can search for these sites by
using these keywords ("banner creation") at
any search engines.
If you want to try and create
one yourself, visit our Banner Utilities
page for some shareware and freeware downloads that you
can use to create your own banner (even animated!)

You will need
a program that can edit image files - we have some listed
on our Banner Utilities
that you can download. If you decide to use another program,
remember that you must be able to save (or convert to)
GIF format, and the dimensions of the banner should be
468x60.

You will need a program that
can create animated GIF files - we have some listed on
our Banner Utilities page. Basically, you create a series of
images, and then use the software to assemble them into
one GIF that can be 'played' back at a rate you choose.
Once you have a GIF animation tool, it is best to get
a few animated GIFs of different sizes, load them up in
your animation software, and see how they work.

Yes, but you can only have
one Free Banners banner per page. By adding a 'page number'
to the HTML you can get unique credit for banners displayed
on unique pages. To find out which html tag to insert
into which page, log into your member's control center
and click on 'Insert HTML'. Then enter the number of pages
you want to display FB Banners and you'll be presented
with a unique html code for each page.
REMEMBER: To
earn a separate credit on each page, you'll need to insert
a unique code.
Yes and No. Yes, you can
display multiple banner ads on one page if the other ads
are from other agencies or networks. However, you cannot
display two or more Free Banners Network banners on a
single page.
Please note: Any pages contained
within a framed page, all count as one page. So if you
are using frames on your web site and "page1.html"
and "page2.html" are both displayed on the screen
at the same time due to the use of frames, there can be
only one Free Banners banner between them. Either "page1.html"
gets the banner or "page2.html" gets the banner,
but not both.
You can place the Free Banners
Network banner anywhere on your web page that is easily
visible. However, please remember, ads placed at the bottom
may not generate many hits (impressions) because a user
can halt the display or click to another page before the
ad has completed its request. If the request is not completed,
you don't get credit for it.

You can use GifWizard to
reduce the size of your banner up to 80%. This is indeed
a great tool. A smaller banner loads faster and that means
more credits for you as most people click away as large
images are loading too slowly! Reduce the size of your
banner at http://www.gifwizard.com
